Privacy Policy

We, Hurricane Electrical Services (“Hurricane Electrical”) understand the importance of protecting your right to privacy and have therefore prepared this statement to help you understand how we aim to protect the privacy of your personal information.
In this document we outline what details we keep about you and why it is necessary for us to have access to this information.
The new Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 amends the Privacy Act (from 21 December 2001) to include laws that regulate the way private organisations, like Hurricane Electrical, handle personal information, including very sensitive information.

What personal information will Hurricane Electrical keep about me?
Hurricane Electrical collects personal information from clients and other associates to assist in providing our range of products and services. The type of personal information we collect about you may include your name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, company and/or business information and details and other details appropriate to the products and services Hurricane Electrical provides.
We do not give or make your personal information available to third parties with the obvious exception of third party business partners such as the domain name registries with your prior authorisation.

Collection of browser information
When you browse the Hurricane Electrical website, our service provider logs the following information for statistical purposes:

  • top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, etc.)
  • the date and time of your web-site visit
  • the pages you looked at
  • the documents you downloaded
  • the type of browser you used

We will not try to identify users or their browsing activities except, in the event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the service provider’s logs.

Email Communications
We will only record your email address if you send us a message, or register and purchase our products. It may be added to the fullmotion.com.au mailing list. Hurricane Electrical is the only identity that has access and permission to use this mailing list. This mailing list will not be sold for any purpose whatsoever and is only used for Hurricane Electrical promotions or information emails.

Why does Hurricane Electrical need my personal information?
The personal information Hurricane Electrical collects about you is used to communicate with you and to provide you with other products and services from Hurricane Electrical. If you choose not to provide your personal information, it may mean that we will not be able to provide these services to you.
